The Big Day!
I know it’s been a while since I posted, but I had tons of traveling to do this summer, and sadly the SV has been sitting in the garage for a while now.
But tomorrow I’m flying (too far to ride) to Indianapolis for the US GP! I’m hoping to take lots of pictures and have something interesting to say at least once or twice over the next five days, so keep an eye out. When I get back I’ll put up anything I couldn’t post from my phone.
Also, I’ll be making my way up to western Massachusetts in a month or two, at which time I hope to get in a review of my Nelson Rigg luggage and maybe some other stuff.

By the way, the belly pan I put on my bike ended up with blisters in the paint because it’s too close to the exhaust and I didn’t shield it enough. I will post the repair process at some point this fall as I do it.
UPDATE: Forcefield Pro L2 Back-Protector Insert price changes
Don’t say I never did anything for ya! I get more hits on my review of my Rev’It! Ignition jacket than any other post on this blog, and the majority of them come from searches for Forcefield Pro L2 back protector inserts. So to help you out I thought I would let you know that I just bought another one, this time in the states.
REVIEW: Arai Dark Smoke Visor for RX-7 Corsair
Getting blinded by the sun sucks. Squinting all day because it’s really bright out sucks. Glasses sliding down your face while you’re wearing a helmet sucks. Using tools to change your visor sucks. Arai solved all of these problems for me by selling me a replacement visor for my RX-7 Corsair helmet.
REVIEW: Arai RX-7 Corsair Helmet
I’ve been wearing an Arai RX-7 Corsair for about a year now and feel that I have sufficient experience with it to give my opinion. I’ll try to be thorough, but since this is the first helmet I have worn since I was in high school, other than the lids I tried on when shopping last year, I can only do so much comparison. I’ll will cover the following areas: Fit, Features, Loudness, Weight, Venting, and Finish.
REVIEW: Rev'It! Ignition Jacket & Forcefield Back Protection Insert
I’ve been riding for a year now and in that time I’ve tried on a fair amount of gear. For torso protection I opted for the Ignition Jacket by Rev’It!, a fairly young Belgian company, and a T-Pro back protection insert from Forcefield in the UK. My second choice would have been the Spidi well-reviewed Step-in-Road, but at the time it was $200 more and it seamed like a giant waste of money considering I couldn’t find one to try one anywhere in NYC.
